  • aaargh! can't save from framebuffer

I've been rendering for a couple of hours, to Vray framebuffer 3500 x 2800 pixels. Mem usage is 1.1G, and I have installed 1.5G in this machine.
No matter what format, it just doesn't save the image!

I also checked to render and split to gbuffer, but neither of the gbuffers have saved out

I want to save it to openexr, but since I can't do this directly, I don't know what to do...also I desperately need those gbuffer reflection and refraction.

    Any hints are appreciated

There is probably not enough memory to clone the VFB so that it can be saved by 3dsmax. If you don't want to re-render, your only option is Alt+Print Screen and stitching the result; otherwise save to a raw .vrimg file.

    Best regards,

      Thanks for your reply,

switching back and forth between photoshop and max crashed max. I now rendered directly to hdr at 3200px, which is fine for the moment, but again it didn't save out the gbuffer images, this time memory usage was at 800MB.

Is there any clue that you can give beforehand, that saving a gbuffer will fail?
