  • Rainbow on Overbright Colours

What is causing the funky colours on this rendering? We get this and need to Photoshop it out all the time. It's always on the over-white areas.

Are you using any falloff maps in those mats? I ran into a similar problem using shodow/light recently.

Do you have colour clamping disabled? If so tried saving to exr ou vrimg or png (48bit).

Colour clamping is on. We are rendering to vrimg and this is how it shows up in Max's "View Image" interface.

try using the new vrimg to exr converter, in photoshop the image will show all ok. we used this workflow alot in our last job and never gave any problem except for the large disk space usage (80Gb).

Where do I get the new vrimg to exr converter? I don't see it in the support section.

sorry 80Gb all images. every image was 260 Mb in vrayimg and about 20Mb in exr, but there were a lot of images and various passes.
