  • moving object animation

    Hi
I'm trying to render a moving object animation.
You can see some problems(i don't know the name for it) on the corner of the room and also in the window.
    my settings are:
first bounce irr map -3,-1 hsph 50 inerp 25 single mode.
second bounce - light cach 500 subdiv.
I've tried the check visibility with no luck .
lights are 1 vray from the window and 1 from above both have 30 subs.
1 direct light with exclude shadow on glass.
    here is the animation.

please keep in mind that i need some kind of solution that wouldn't dbl my render times if possible.

Can you send me the scene < nikki@chaosgroup.com > without the bed and the other accessories. Just the room (walls, window).

    Best regards,

gilicom, my settings are brutal, in the sence that they are very slow for interrior purpose; i do not use irmap. My settings in such case would be qmc/lc
with qmc sampler at 0.003, global subdivs multiplier 2-3.
lc - 500-800 at sceen size of 0.01 and filtering of fixed 0.04

but for your interrior i would suggest splitting up the animation into 2 stages. The camera move in the room and the room, that could be delt with as standart interrior flythrough, then qmc gi for the chair and moving parts and comp that in post.

well there are various comp tricks and what not. One of them would be to take your rendered chair sequence and flip it upside down and make it 20% opaque which would create the mirror effect.
The more realistic way would be to render the refleciton pass, as a ceparate thing, then comp.
