Material editor resets render modes

Hi,

I posted about this awhile back. The IR map and LC Modes were getting reset to "From file". It seemed random and I couldn't reproduce it. I have found that if I set the modes to "Single frame" and then open the Material Editor, the mode gets reset to "From file."

Apologies if this is a known issue. Vray V1.47.03.

[ETA] Something strange, when I set the IR map mode back to Single frame, the LC mode also went to Single frame.

Wow that is strange. I haven't come across that yet. Is it just one particular file this is happening to you on?

I have the same version and mine does the same thing on opening the Material Editor. Vray is treating the opening of the editor as a "Render End". If the "Auto save" file name is the default "<None>" it will not save and nothing happens as seen. Now; even if you have not a file name and a path for the "From file", but you have a file and a path stated in the "Auto save" and you have "Switch to saved cache" selected- on opening the editor or render end Vray saves the cache and automatically sets the "From File" to be the very same file stated in the "Auto save:" path.

Just uncheck the "Switch to saved cache" but remember to uncheck the "Auto save" if you are just testing variations but do not want to write over a saved cache.

Only Vlado can give you that if you write him and he considers your need to amerit him giving it to you. Too many people have abused his free giving before. I for one would love to get the latest beta but I can wait for the official 1.5 release I supposse.
