  • Scene scale...

I wasn't quite sure where to put this thread - but basically I wanted to know what aspects/values of Vray are affected by scene scale...?

It's not something we really take into account here where I work, but having been toying with SSS & reading that the Fog value can be affected by scene scale - I was wondering what else in Vray is dictated or controlled by the size of the scene/object/world units.

My apologies if this is a stupid question!

it's not a stupid question at all. I'd like to know the same thing, but you should always think about scene scale to some certain extents. Alot of mapping things depend on it too, and that's not dependant on Vray, but straight up max.

GI is also dependant on scene scale though. I think light cache can be an exception because the default works in pixel coordinates from the way I read it, but i could be wrong on that.

Anything that throws a ray with a radius physically in the scene will be size dependant.
