vray light behaves strange

hi all!

today i rendered a project as usual.
but as i switched on area shadow in the vraylight parameters, the image gets darker..

background dreamscape, dreamscape sun not illuminating scene, only sky..

did anyone ever seen something like this?

It looks like a shadow from something... is there anything in the way of the sun and the scene?

That is weird.

Maybe a plane flew by just as you rendered

Also try loweing your bias to 0.01, might help

no, the sun is in the same position..

no, changing the bias does not have any effect. and there is no plane..

Which V-Ray version are you using for this ! and the Host - MAX ?
