  • Invalid License: Bad Node Data. -18 (After CPU Upgrade)

I just upgraded my processors from 2 Opteron 246's to 2 Opteron 275's.

When I booted my machine I got the following error when launching the Vray License Server: "Invalid License: Bad Node Data. -18"

I'm assuming this means my hardware ID must of changed, however all other hardware locked software (3dsmax, XP64, Autocad etc.) still runs fine. Has anyone else experienced this? By the way I am using a legal & authorised version of Vray!

All comments welcome, especially from Chaos Group. I have sent an email to vray@chaosgroup.com outlining the problem, but have heard nothing back as yet. I really need to get this sorted!

    Thanks for your time,
    Olly

Yes, what you get as an error is expected. We'll do our best to get your PC back working again.

      Hello Olly,

You will need to send us a new authorization request for that machine.

      Best regards,
      Vlado
