  • Scene bounding box is too ...

I have problem: after importing *.dwg files in 3dsmax and rendering i have this warning message:
"Scene bounding box is too large, possible raycast errors"

    where is the problem??

p.s. all scene is arround x=0, y=0, z=0 , i find this problem object but object is very simlpe (road) when i delete object NO warning message! But can't understand warning and what is the risk???

i can upload file with this problem ... later on...
    10 x in advance

    best regards

I'd be interested to know the reason we should fear this warning as well -- I had an animation a couple months back that kept giving me this as I had a treeline horizon out to a couple miles away. I didn't see any problems crop up as a result, but I didn't know what to look for either.

    Thanks!

Here is a sticky thread explaining those warning errors.

I always scale all my dwgs and models down by 0.01 and align to 0,0,0. Ever since the early days of max i've had numerous problems with creating models too big or too far from 0,0,0 whether its erratic animation paths, shadow maps that dont work very well or render engine issues... everything just seems to run smoother and faster when its small.

          i find solution:
after importing all scene (excluding my problem object) i import only this object - after this step - NO WARNING MESSAGE

maybe problem was in AUTOCAD definition for SOLIDS (my problem object)

          have i nice day
