    I get this warning message in the rendering message ix as it's rendering.

    Material retuned overbright or invalid color ( object "..........")

    what does this mean, what I can do so it does not happen and what will it do

      it's either a raytraced material, or one of those pesky architectural materials (if in viz)?? Look at the scene tree in the material browser. Loof for any raytraced types. Also make sure exposure control is off! I think that's how I fixed this before...

          Yep...
          This is almost always the culprit for me.
          I never use raytraced mats with vray. Vray mat is soooo much better.
          The vray scene converter helps alot when merging files from older projects (lightscape).
