  • Displacement problem

    I get this weird problem that I can´t solve. It appears when render as bumps aswell.

    In the image it is the panel of the house that I have used a gradient and VRayDispl modifier in 3D mapping. Nothing I do seem to have any effect on the problem.
    I have tried everything from turning off "Keep continuity" to swapping the gradient ramp for a bitmap ramp. Nothing seems to have effect. I have also tried with meshsmooth and tessellation modifiers with no success. The strange thing is that the lines does not follow the polygons.

    Weird!

    Other than that don´t bother about the rest of the image. The HDRI and grass and other stuff do look a bit nasty. Now I only working on getting this displacement going.
    I will post the final result when ready.

    Please help anyone. I can share a bit of the model if someone is interested in helping me.



    As you can see the strange behavior is not according to the polys in the model.

      In summary, you need to make sure the mesh is made entirely from quads of squarish proportions.
