  • Vray 1.5 installation problem - SOLVED

I seem to be having problems with the vray 1.5 install:

    1) I have 3 dongles, each with one license.
    2) I have installed Vray 1.5, and the license server, on our server (Server 2003)
    3) Plugged in the three dongles to a USB hub and each time it searched and installed the USB key software
    4) When I ran http://localhost:30303 it said I only had 1 license (!)
    5) I installed 1.5 onto one of our workstations, and told it to look at the IP address of the server. Restarted Max and it worked fine.
    6) I installed 1.5 on a second workstation and told it to look at the IP address of the server, restarted Max but this time it didn't get a license (workstation 1 is still working)
    7) Went back to the server and ran http://localhost:30303 but this time it says access is denied

    Any ideas?

Well, I seem to have sorted it out. I went through each dongle in turn, one at a time, starting the vray service and then stopping it, mainly to ensure each dongle was working. They all were. So I stopped the service again and removed all dongles, then replaced them and started the service. This time all three were found.

Nothing is easy, but it seems to be fine now.

Thanks for all your hard work guys - really looking forward to using 1.5! Superb bit of kit!
