  • invalid color warning:using shad./light map in vray diffus

Is it to be expected to have the following warning when using a falloff ( shadow/light type) in the diffuse slot of a vray material?

warning: Texture "Map #54" returned an invalid color (RGB 1.#INF, 1.#INF, 1.#INF).

I'm not using colour correct, or boosting the output of the map.

If you are also using GI, then I suppose it is normal. The Shadow/light mode for the Fall-off map was not really designed with GI in mind.

I just ran into this problem too. Thought I came up with a new bug, but it looks like I am 6 months late!

      Any workaround for this?
