vray spawner and DELL machines

we have an issue here with our new DELL machines (with original windows xp prof pre-installed by DELL). if I start the vray spawner , the spawner starts. MAX also starts, but closes directly again. then tries to start again, closes, starts...etc etc...we closed all tools or firewall, AV etc...but nothing.

Any ideas ?

new instalation of max8 and backburnder3? if so then make sure to run your backburner manager (run the server and monitor as well just to be safe.) once you have them running the 1st time your spawner will work from here on in.

got nothing to do with a dell. there's a stcky here:

But instead of reading all this, do the following:

1) Launch Backburner Manager
2) Launch Backburner Monitor and connect
3) Close both

Now you can start the spawner safely.
