  • 2D landscape displacement problem

    I have been trying for days now to get the 2D landscape mapping in Vraydisplacement modifier to work. I can get the 3D mapping to work fine but the 2D is a no go area! I have a simple plane in 3dsViz 2006 with a cellular map in the texture map slot and have tried all number of different settings combinations but nothing is working. I have tried subdivide perametres, mesh smoothing, tesselating. I just don't think it's working properly.

    Please help....anyone!

    There's no point posting an image because ther'e's nothing to show!!!

    Could someone give me some settings that they know definately work so I can try them on my system?

      If you want to use a 3D map with 2D displacement you will need to use explicit UVW mapping.
