  • sun/sky bug or bad workflow?

well, sometimes I like to put more than one sky in the scene just to make renders seem like they're from Tatooine....no, really, I do this so I could just have a key light source for each camera. Anyways, it seems like the sky only takes into account the first sun inserted into the scene and not the active sun.

Should I change my workflow or is this something that can be remedied in a future build or am I missing the boat altogether?

    Thanks,
    ME

okay.....got it working, so it's not really a bug per se....just need to drag the sky to the material editor and use the manual sun node to select the affecting sun.

still would be nice for it to automatically see which sun is enabled and work with it, but no worries

Yep, if you want to have more than one sky, you'd need to specify which sun should go with it. I'm not sure it's very easy to figure out which sun is the one that gets used automatically - it's "the first one that V-Ray finds", but this is not very well defined.
