maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but the settings we use to use for this no longer work.
I've got a vray plane. I apply a material wrapper and put a vray material in for the base (just plain near white), then apply it to the vray plane.
I change the material wrapper to -1.0 alpha contribution and check effect shadows and alpha.
That use to work, but now it does nothing.
So I thought, "lets just do it for the object." I chose vray properties on the vrayplane. Checked the matte option and applied -1 to alpha contribution. It renders invisible again.
I have a light casting shadows and placed a plane just above the vray plane just to make sure it wasn't working. the plane does cast shadows on another plane, but not onto the vray plane in which I am trying to cast shadows.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
