  • Bizarre problem - white edges...

    Hi All,

I'm having a bit of bother with an internal animation I'm working on. If I send one frame to a node, let it finish it comes out fine.

However, when I send the animation to render the irradiance maps every 25th frame for instance, the render doesn't look the same. The edges are white. I'll show you what I mean. I've done loads of animations and this is the first time I've encountered this problem.

You can see the problem here. I have no clue why this is happening.

It looks like Blur gi is on. Check your settings when sending the GI calculation to see if blur gi has any value different from 0.0.

      Hi there,

Blur GI was at 8.0 - i was using medium animation, and it automatically sets the Blur GI to 8.0

I've never noticed that before. For the purposes of just testing the animation I normally used medium-animation. Can I use the same settings just turn the blur GI to 0?

Yes, absolutely, just make the Blur GI = 0.0 and it should ne OK.
