Did something change in how reflections work in Vray 1.5? Especially in how they reflect the environment background?
Pre-1.5, I had a nice glass material for building facades. Real simple. Refraction at 95% with IOR of 1.6. Reflection at 100% with fresnel on.
It worked very well in a scene using a dome light and direct sunlight. Perfect amount of reflection at an angle.
Now... in 1.5 RC2... all my reflections of the environment are completely blown out. Reflections of objects are still ok, but environment reflections come out WHITE. It doesn't matter if I use HDRI, or solid pink... still WHITE. If Fresnel is on, they come out less so... but essentially as if it is a fresnel reflection of a white environment. I have tried reflection override on and off... no luck. I have tried this also in a blank test scene, and I get the same result.
The ONLY thing that changes it is if I delete my dome light. Then, all the reflections of the environment work perfectly.
Is it an issue with the reflection not reflecting the environment, but instead reflecting the dome light? I have the dome light listed as "invisible".
