  • coplanar faces and etc...

Ok..I may be doing this WRONG...but I have been doing this forever......

In Arch Desktop.... Let's say I have a set of windows....3 windows that make up a bigger assembly. the bottom is 6w x 2h the middle is 6w x 4h and the top is 6w x 3h. Which should make up a 6 x 9 assembly..All I do is make these three windows and stack them...but I overlap the top and bottom frames accordingly. So I get those black spotches and coplanar faces things.....without changing my process, do you have any tips...

    Thanx all

secondary ray bias to 0.002 or similar (default is 0.0) usually helps with coplanar issues. You might wanna try that.

Where I must have coplanar faces, like maybe a curtain wall with intersecting mullions and transoms, I just offset them slightly so that they are not actually coplanar.

That's what the secondary rays bias does... I find that 0.001 usually works

Ha, no I stopped playing online poker a couple years ago, when I realized how bad I was. Fortunately never lost too much money.
