I'm having a few issues when trying to use the new dome light in conjunction with a matte plane.
I put a plane in my scene, and lit it to the desired level with an hdr using the dome light, but when I then changed it to a matte object, it became way too bright. e.g....
(Portion of) Background image:
Plane lit by hdr:
Plane set as matte:
All I did in the third image was select 'Matte object' and 'Shadows' in the object's properties, and it became unusable. It also took a ridiculous amount of time to render. Is there a way round this? Am I doing something wrong, or just missing something obvious?
Cheers,
John
