I had some old Vray materials that I converted while testing out 1.5 RC3 that I switched from having an Opacity map to using the Refract map and affect shadows/alpha. I unchecked the opacity map checkbox but what I noticed accidentally is that if I had any map still in the opacity slot and rendered over DR, the remote DR buckets render this material as black and opaque(the local buckets are fine). Setting the opacity map slot to "none" fixes the problem. Doesn't seem to matter what the map is (I tried noise/checker/gradient), they all render pure opaque. Not sure if this is RC3 specific though. Tried it on a couple of machines with the same results.
