Old DR question

I have done numerous searches but can find the post now which discussed this in the past.

My problem is the one where when you start the spawner, MAX keeps on opening and closing. What is the the solution to fix this again?

If you refer to MAX 8, 9

On the fresh installed MAX 8,9 machine(s), run the BB (Backburner)
Manager. Go through all the setup about subnet and timeouts, etc.
Once it has run normally, close it and try re-running the
VRaySpawner60.exe

Thanks Candelero will go through that setup.

From memory I can recall also something along the following lines, that there needed to be an empty file somewhere. I think it was in the MAX root directory.

I also recall something about that this file is placed there when one install VRay, but that for some people to have it work one needed to actually physically create this file.

Does this ring a bell to anybody?

I suppose you are talking about the < vraydummy60.max > file.
You can just save an empty file with that name and leave it in the root folder, if you don't have it already.
