  • problem with enviroment background

I have some strange thing going on here...

I have set a background color and light the scene with a dome light with a hdri mapped on it. the problem is I see the hdri on the rendered image, but that's fault. the backgroundcolor is there too, but it's cut off.

I use a max cam. could it be the image aspect of 0.75? oh, and vray 1.5 rc3

    best regards

in rc3 the default for the domelight is visible. you have to set the "invisible " checkbox in the domelight settings.

thanks instict for the pointer. it's working.

      ...but something seems wrong.

look the reflections on the cap. it seems there is a grey plane reflecting, but nothing is there in the scene.

when I turn of the domelight, the grey color disappears, too.

      I can't explain that...?

ok, I got it! it's the 'affect specular' option.
