  • Dark outlines around bright highlights

    Hello,
I´ve been having a problem with some black outlines just around very bright areas.
This has accourd both when the sun shines in thru a window and highlights a part of the wall,
and it has also occurred from an highlight in a mateial

In those cases i used Irrmap & QMC and Hsv color corr with gamma 2,2

So i guess overbright colors produces this, is there any setting that i should ajust,
or do you think the only way is to decreas the multiplyer of the light?
let me know if you need more information about my settings

You can check ON both: sub-pixel mapping and clamp output in the Color mapping rollout. As well as using the VRaySun you may want to make it invisible too.

    Best regards,

Also, AA filtering with sharpening (so with negative parts) filters produces issues like those.
Try changing filtring to a blurry one, or if rendering stills, and with a high enough QMC AA sampling, turn it off entirely.
