  • Vray WARNING message:memory heap is reported damaged

    I get in my render scene (exterior) :
    WARNING memory heap is reported damaged (in vray meassege window)
    could someone explain the meaning and solution to this?

    we've been getting that a lot also, no clue as to why it happens, but it doesn't *appear* to actually do anything to the renders.

        The message is there for diagnostic purposes; it means that something went wrong inside of 3dsmax (e.g. a plugin freed some memory twice, or wrote in memory it was not supposed to). Unfortunately, it is impossible to know which code exactly caused the problem. It may not lead to any problems, but on the other hand, the error may cause 3dsmax to crash later on for no apparent reason.

        For example, the issue happens every time 3dsmax loads the ElectricNoise plugin from the blurlib pack. It may happen because of other plugins and even because of a bug in 3dsmax itself.
