Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question, but....!
Im using LWF, and of course have my gamma preferences set to 2.2
Now Im loading a bitmap in to the diffuse slot, and rendering and its not rendering the colours correctly, its all washed out. before you start giving answers, I think I have it!
In the bitmap open dialog, there are 3 options for gamma of the bitmap. Its always on use images own gamma, but when I changed it to use system default, it renders correctly!
Have I all this time been thinking that by setting the gamma preferences to 2.2 its been automatically setting it, but in fact its not!??? Is it standard LWF practice to remember to select system gamma every time you inport a bitmap?
Thanks for reading, hope im right!!
edit:
Well i have now tried it on another machine, and it loads them in ok, using system gamma! but my machine is being stupid. Does anyone have a glue as to why?
Thanks
