  • wierd reflections

    Hi all!
Please have a look at this image. The reflections look wrong and they have a black border around them. Any ideas?

I have used catmull-rom... I am not shure if this has to do with it..?

    Vray ROCKS!!!

Do a search next time, please.
It HAS to do with the filter's negative parts.
Which filters work best are described in detail in a zillion posts around the forum.

those bright areas r being messed up by ur sharpening filter!
either switch on clamp output and sub pixel maping in the color maping rollout or swith to a suitable AA filter!

Clamp output must be on and sub-pixel mapping must also be on.
          That will fix your problem.

I'd rather have him switch to a proper filter (or no filtering at all with QMC AA), Natty.
Unless he knows what clamping will do to his HDR (and not) renders, i'd consider that a hack, not a solution.
Hence the suggestion for a search.
