  • VRayBlendMtl - go to parent CRASH

I'm using vray 1.5 rc3 64 / max 9 64, and when I create a VRayBlendMtl I have problems when I hit the upload to parent button. Max crashes everytime and it doesn't matter what file I'm in. Help please.

I will try to see if I can reproduce that here.

Unfortunately I don't get this here in my simple tess. If you have a scene where this happens you can email it to me at vlado@chaosgroup.com as there may be something else in the scene causing the problem.

            Best regards,

Thanks Vlado, but I get the same results no matter which scene I have open. It even happens when it's a new scene. I went into the paper model scene that I posted here a while back. It has a VRayBlndMtl, which never caused the crash when I was working on it a couple of weeks back.

paper model scene (I'll email you the max file)

I would suggest a simple uninstall - reinstall of vray. Does it only happen with the vrayblendmtl ?

The problem is solved. I went into a file that was created on January 28th with a vrayblndmtl that worked fine at the time. Of course it crashed, so I did a system restore back to that point and everything is working now. Thanks for your willingness to help guys.

                    haha weird ok cool.
I would have imagine a vray reinstall would ahve done the same thing... maybe.
                    Ahh well ... good fix
