  • Problem with VRayedgetex

    Hi

I am working on a little personnal project and when i use the vrayedgetex in order to render a wire image, the vray plane is totally black. (The vrayedgetex is applied with the override mtl in the global switches rollout.

    The image

    And the wire

Is it a problem or not ?

As the VrayPlane is not a geometric object (well it is implicit like the vraysphere if i recall right) it doesnt have any edges to be rendered. So that's expected behaviour i guess

I expected the inverse behaviour: no edges so only the diffuse color is rendered.

have you looked at the csg sphere object? Think it wont have any edges? Mostly likely your render is 'working as intended'

Exactly - any of the csg objects never make polygons at all so it'll cause the edge tex to freak out. Dimo could probably give you the full reason why this happens but it's back to normal planes for now :/
