I will be able to tell you more if you send me (a part of) your scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com; without the scene I'm not really sure what may be causing it.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

... so how did you get that vray logo disappear. I have the dongle but the logo is there ???????????
If you have an educational version of V-Ray please email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com with regards to this.

ern, the problem will go away if you use the "density-based" sample look-up method for the irradiance map, or if you use a regular (smaller) plane instead of the vrayplane for the outside.

The problem with the "overlapping" method happens when some areas from the outside vrayplane receive two few irradiance sampes, and they "leak" into the interior as v-ray tries to interpolate them. This issue is one of the main reasons why the default sample look-up method is the "Density-based" one instead of the "Overlapping".

            Best regards,
            Vlado

Oh. Just wanted to say, that I encountered the same problem and you should change lookup method
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
