  • VrayDirt ignore antialiasing samples

    Sorry my English.

If i use vraydirt whitout GI - vray ignore antialiasing samples.

Example - add chanel vraydiffusefilter and see it. I use adaptive QMC +1+4. vraydiffusefilter chanel - very draft and noise. If i use GI and adaptive QMC 1+4 render pure.

If i not use GI render - pure only if AA +4+4....its a very big bag

    ya budu pisat po russki.
Delo v tom shto vray shtobi pravelno zdelat antialiasing nado iznachalno proshitat te mesta gde illumination est i gde net, shtobi provesti adaptation samplov. Esli u tebya vikluchen gi, to scena ne osveshaetsa i v teh mestah gde chernoe budet malo samplov. Stavya sampling na 4/4 ti prosto povishaesh minimum samples per pixel. Tozhe samoe mozhno dobitsa esli postavit ochen malenkiy theshold.
Mozhesh poprobivat otrenderit bez gi, no postav antialiasing adaptive qmc 1/64 i postav threshold na 0.005

      Ditto, Morbid
Raise max, not min, and lower nose threshold.

Kak eto priyatno pisat na russkom
spasibo chto prinal uchastie v obsuzhdenii problemi.

mne kazhetsya tii ne ulovil sut ocherrednogo baga vray
        1. dobav kanal vraydiffusefilter
        2. otrenderi bez GI i s adaptive QMC +1+4 treshhold 0.002
        3. teper vkluchi GI i otrenderi s temi ge nastroikami

vidish raznicu? vray prosto krivo rabotaet s antialiasingom i delo ne v treshholdach u menya oni silno kachestvennee chem 0,005

pri tech ge usloviyach ambient ocluzion v mental ray rabotaet korrektno

well, his understanding of sampling was not quite what vray was doing. If you have a well lit scene, eather with gi, or with lights, you will get proper antialiasing. If you have everything turned off, then resulting RGB buffer will be black, vray will determine that the color value of each pixel is 0.0 and apply minimum specified samples to it, hance producing badly antialiased buffers.
The best way to understand this, is to take a sphere and shine a directional light onto it from a side, and output something like a normal pass, you will see that where the sphere is black, there is much worse anatialising, then where there is illumination.
