Hello everyone,
I have been a keen reader of these forums for the past 2 months or so and I have really gained an awful lot so far just through reading your posts.
I have a particular problem which I am struggling to find a way around now and I seem to be unable to find a reasonable tutorial or explanation of how to generate glass windows that will reflect the interior of a building and also allow exterior light (vraysky and direct) in without losing too much energy.
It seems like such an ordinary problem and I hope there is a easy way of dealing with it.
To my understanding the irradiance map doesn't allow light to move through the glass, or is it another one of the GI engines?
The particular job I am working on HAS to have glass showing because it is one of the major features of the building and it has a frosting decal all over the whole building.
Could somebody please offer me a link to some useful material, or perhaps offer some advice.
Thanks very much, I am very excited to be here and am looking forward to posting more frequently.
