  • light issues or something

Well....Here is a scene that I am working on now....Just testing out some things and I have a couple of areas where the light in the corner is overexposed it looks like.

Here is the file so that you can see the settings...I think i just have a setting or 7 wrong.

Thanx for any help you can offer

Part of the problem is you have a near white material applied to the building and a strong sun.. pointing right into the corners.
Darken up the vray material abit and it will help alot that.

Probably wouldnt hurt to disable "Store direct light" in the LC to get a bit more accuracy in the shadows, set filter to fixed as well. I often add a dash of pre-filter too.

But once you get some textures on there.. assuming it wont be white textures you should be just fine.

See below, first image.. your color.. 2nd image.. couple of random colors thrown on.

You could also use colormapping to clear it up too.

thats how it should be, with your sun angle being directly behind the camera any corner areas will blow out because the light gets trapped bouncing around that area. Just change your sun position

Nice...Thanx for taking the time to check it out. Right before a big job I always get a little nervous and think....Can I do that again? LOL

Jacksc02: I thought I did have the angle of the sun different from the camera....But of course, it's late and I cant remember.

Later all. Gonna fix this as soon as House goes off...Man...just starting watching this show....Is he always this mean?

              @ Eric...

If you turn off your 2nd GI bounce, or lower its multiplier, the effect will fade away.

However keep in mind that in such case, your lighting solution would not be entirely correct.

              Best regards,
