  • FOV or camera problem

I don't know what happened. I noticed all of the sudden that the FOV seems to have changed in the render. The viewport looks fine. I'll try to explain.

Vray 1.5RC2 (haven't had time to update) standard max camera. vray lights. The camera is just default settings on a 35mm lens. No cam overrides in vray. Ignore the grain. Just quick to get the issue out.

The problem is that from the viewport to the render, the FOV seems to change??? This same camera rendered fin a week or so ago. I've deleted the offending camera and recreated it. Nothing seems to be working. What could cause this??????

i would say that the field of view is the same. did you check the back wall of your casework? ..make sure it doesn't have dis[placement on it or anything like that.

yep, fov looks all right to me. it's that white wall which is not supposed to be there, that needs to be figure out.

thanks guys. The wall is fine. The best description is to look at the screen capture of the viewport vs the fuzzy render. It's like it's not even rendering the whats in the viewport.

It is the refraction of the glass, you changed the glass plane or the material?

ding ding ding!!! We have a winner. I don't know why, but I deleted the back side of the glass "box" thinking it would speed up the render

Thanks!!! Wish I had a prize or something to give...

even so the fov is still different since if you overlay the two images in photoshop and toggle between them you can see they are different
