  • Xref Object not displaying with Distributed Rendering

    Any help is appreciated.

Running main MAX scene, all Xref Objects and Materials from a server. All paths are identical on every machine I'm using for Distributed rendering.

    MAX 9.0 with Vray 1.5

All Xref Objects and Xref Scenes don't render. I was able to render Xref Objects located locally on the host HD, but thats useless if other machines can't see the files.
I can't get Backburner working with MAX 9.0 would that have something to do with it?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    Did you use UNC Paths?

No, but the drive Letters match.

I remember there was a problem with this in 3dsmax 8, which we fixed, but if something has changed in 3dsmax 9, I suppose this may be a problem again. I will try to reproduce this here, but if you have a simple scene that you can send me to vlado@chaosgroup.com, it will be very helpful.

          Best regards,

I cant send the scene I'm using I'm afraid. Its clasified.
Also, I dont believe it is a network problem, I can render a Vray scene using Backburner, so I know it each computer can see the Xref Objects on the Network.
            I'm guessing it's a Vray Bug.
