  • Blotchyness and Vray Fur fixin

I couuld use some assistance with these render settings. I can not seem to get rid of the blotchyness with 80 hsph .. Also, I am having some bad issues with the VrayFur for the carpet..I am not sure how to fix this as well.

    Settings:
    Adaptive QMC 4-8 Mitchell-Net
    IrrMap/QMC
    Medium Hsph 80 Interp 25
Nrm thresh 0.1 (i figured this would help me get better results with my vray fur but no success)
    Dist Thresh .2

    QMC 32subdiv 4 bounces

rQMC adaptive 1.0 Noise Thresh .05
Samples 16 Global subdivs mult 2

Using Linear Color Mapping with 2.2 Gamma

1 direct light for the sun, HDRI for the environment

    Thanks guys

Try killing off the hdri, and just use the environment or a vraydomelight.

you could even add the hdr to the dome light .. would help clean things up.

looks like your noise threshold...try default 0.01. and you certainly don't need 80 hemis subdivs...that'll kill your render time

Brian found it. Wow im glad i typed the noise threshhold settings correctly instead of how i intended them to be, missed a 0.

Better to use a dome DaForce because of the subdivis setting in the light?

Yeah the HDR will generally look better as you have more control.

lol yeah noise threshold.. totally glazed over that setting.. didnt notice the missing 0
