  • vrimg not working?

    hi,

Rendering an image over 4000px wide doesn't work, it gives an error in backburner or simply hangs if I don't use backburner. So I tried vrimg, which worked well in the past. But now it doesn't work either, even on a new scene with a simple teapot.

    I'm using rc4 x64 and max9 x64. Also tried rc3, same issue.

Tried strip rendering but that crashes too, but I read this can be due to the vray frame buffer, didn't try it any further. For now I did a crop render and manually moved the crop region for each 'strip'

Anyone else having problems with vrimg format?

Make sure you are not using the Hilbert region sequence.

Got "Get Res from Max" Off ? Max res to 1x1 ? Otherwise max will still create a framebuffer. Esp with renderelements those can be damn memory eaters (just do the math. uncompressed float 32bit x number of channels x width x height = big badaboom :P)
