In this image there is an omni inside the frosted glass fixture. Shouldn't it be illuminated? If I use the vray light mat, obviously it is then illuminated, but I lose the frosted effect and I no longer have the light emitting through the glass...I get shadows. Not sure what to do about it?
Use the Omni for light contribution, and the VRayLightMtl object for bulb visibility. Just put a VRayMtlWrapper over the VRayLightMtl with the generate and recieve GI unchecked...then exclude the bulb geometry from the onmi.
Thanks for the quick response! Tight deadline.....quick project.....and another huge project in the middle of it all! New computers on the way...but not fast enough! That all makes sense! My head is too cluttered now to come to that conclusion on my own! Thanks!
