  • aa flickering at edges to very bright materials

    hi

    i have a problem with edges that are sampled with adaptive subdivision 1-3

    at edges to very bright materials i get flickering...

    any thoughts?

      here 6 following pics from a raw sequence where you can see the problem.
      and a picture of the construction.

      rendered with rc3 adaptive subdiv min1 max3 ctlrthresh 0.1
      the rest that i´m not allowed to show is okai with this aa












      any ideas

        ...now as i had this closer look to the construction of the light it may be a kind of double face problem...maybe i shoul´d try it with higher secondary rays bias...

        other idea?

          You might try checking "sub pixel mapping" and "clamp output" in the color mapping settings. This should fix AA issues at very bright edges.
