  • Sudden shader corruption? Or something other, but still odd

Last night I did some renders of an office building, just before I started to do some changes on the model itself, as the clients requested.
This morning, I came in office, finished the modified elevation, and hit render.
After a several seconds, max crashed. Restarted, tried to render it again, but got the same crash at the same frame. So, I merged the entire scene into anew one, but got the same crash. Further exploring this problem, I found that the vray logfile holds lines pointing to an unhadled exeption upon trying to shade something.

Now, the only thing I modified was some geometric changes, to be more exact, I moved some windows and wall sections a bit. I didn't changed the shader, lightning, proxies.

Can a shader go corrupted or something? Like an invalid property, value, or I don't know.

What is the exact error message in the log file?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

I was quite stupid no to save the log on spot, and now it's all overwritten by other renderings, and since I fixed the problem (redone many shaders in the scene from scratch), can't reproduce the error.
The scene had AXYZ lowpoly, and when these hided, rendered just fine, so I started to experiment with them. The people alone rendered just fine, but turning on enough scene elements (no matter in what combination) caused a crash. The people had their original shader converted with the scene converter script, and never caused us any trouble till now.

Anyway, my biggest problem was that I really didn't modified anything in the scene except for the geometry, and got this odd error.

If this pops up again, I'll post some exacts for sure.

      regards,
