I can't seem to be able to launch V-ray 1.5 on my main machine. I installed it on both my main machine and the machine that holds the license.I am using the software license as I haven't received a dongle. I tried changing the license server using both the IP address and the name of the machine and the default connection port. when I swapped out the cgauth60 file I tried swapping it out on both machines. the machine I use, that doesn't hold the license crashes 3dsmax7 so I put the original cgauth60 file back and it doesn't recognize my server licence

I'm running 3dsmax7 in win64 and my sever sits on a xp32 machine

    thanks

Is it a thing with using 64 and 32 bit?

Just run the installation of RC3 and choose software license. DO NOT copy any other files anywhere. Replacing the original cgauth.dll from RC3 will cause a crash.

        right, I found that out.

the reason I tried it in the first place is I can't seem to get it to recognize the license on the other machine.

It asks for an IP address and a port so I added my IP and the default port number from the help pages, 30304. I get nothing.

        thanks
