I did some render test recently for a model view, and I've planned to use vray toon for the finals.
RC3 was used
Despite the fact that it cannot be "unbaked" from the render and rendered separately (a technique exist to get the mask of the toon pass with the alpha, but it's quite time consuming switching all you model in alpha -1, or using normal cam and white color(see below)) I had some other strange issues and didn't find a trace of these in the forum.
Anyway, here are the facts :
- The vrayToon pass is also baked into the vrayWirecolor pass, which is quite annoying in my particular workflow. Bug or normal issue ? happens with normal & vrayCam
- I didn't managed to render the lines other than black... any color chosen appears black. Note that does only happen with a vrayCam, so I think it's a bug...
two crops : (vrayCam + toon color set to red)
