  • vray frame buffer correct-RFW totally distorted

    Heya everyone

I have a problem with rendering my vray camera view to max RFW. My view renders correctly in the VFB then when i switch to the RFW the view gets all distorted. At 640x480 it is less obvious but ehn i rnder it at 1600x1200 it is totaly out of wack. I like the VFB a lot better but i don't think ther is a way to batch render other than to the max RFW.

    First picture VFB:

    this here the RFW:

I think you are showing only 1 image (the good one).

Are you trying to do region zoom rendering?

              no not at all.

i just switched from vray frame buffer to max's rebder frame window that's it. I am rendering the VIEW no region, blow up or any other fancy stuff.

              strange eh?

Ok, then how about a camera correct modifier? Vertical shift turned on in the VRay Cam?

no nothing...i had my camera zoom at .777at first.
So i put it back to 1 but still the same.
What is also weird is that at 640x480 it looks almost the same in both render windows but by increasing the size it get's more and more distorted like you see at 1600x1200

Thanks btw for you qick response!!

                  I appriciate that very much

I can't see the images but it sounds like a problem that i've had.

The [img] thing doesn't work with a link to flickr... you have to use the link to the image itself (hint, it will end in .jpg)

As for what's going on... I have no idea... I've exhausted all the things that I can think of.

Have you tried creating a new camera?

Ok i created a new camera
Rendered to VFB at 1600x1200 then switch to RFW at 1600x1200 everthing fine then swithc to 640X480 for the RFW...everything wack again
The switch back to VFB changed the size to 640x480 redered everthing ok...swithc back to RFW at 640x480 everything ok too....

so it seems max keeps the output image size from VFB somehow in memory and when i change the size in RFW to soething different than what i had in VFB it renders teh image either zoomed in or zoomed out (distorted)

This would happen if you have the 3dsmax resolution and VFB resolution different. I think it should be sorted out in newer builds.
