  • Graphic Film to Glazed Partition

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me a good material solution to create a opaque graphic design on a clear glazed partition 12mm thick !

I have tried different solutions which kinda work using a box and setting mat id's to both sides ( one side clear glass and the other showing the grahpic image with an opacity map...but the I.O.R. seems to be wrong ?

    thanks

    Tony

I'd say use a vrayblend material with the coat material beeing the sticker/graphic and it's blend-map beeing the alpha of it.

Use a Vray2sidedMtl for the coat material? One side being the graphic, the other side being white.

Or do a proper UVW Map instead of the default one :P

          Regards,

P.S. it DOES have two sides and thickness, does it ?

Yeah its just a matter of selecting the right faces are applying the proper UVW channel (and mapping) to each.

or... the quick and dirty way to do it is place a single poly infont of the glass by say.. 1mm map it and away you go.. i do that sometimes when a client wants something turned around double quick!

I have used the vray blend material... which works very very well !!!
