.ies files not showing.

hi everyone, we just install Max 9 SP2 and version rc3 of V-Ray at the office. Everything were perfect in MAx 8 before. ( i know i know, do not fix it if it's not broke )

But not when we try to render the .ies files of a bulb . It's not working. I even try it on the original pc , not on the server to see if the pc was seeing the .ies files. If the path was good. No answer.

And we have a strange material setting in the setup. Now i can see the DirectXShader.... Is it correct?

Did we do something wrong in the installation of V-Ray.

BTW, poor us i just see today that they release MAX 2008 soon... goshhh, our clients will send us those kind of files soon... And we will have to correct everything like usual... . I hate that

I believe the directxshader area is there on all materials. As long as its not in like the diffuse slot you will be fine. All depends were your seeing it tho.

What you should do (if you have the dongle) is just install Vray 1.5 FINAL.

That might help fix a whole lot of problems.

Try copying the IES file locally and then render.
