  • Licence question

Hi everyone, just a quikie question, I have a hardware upgrade planned
in the next few days, mobo, cpu and ram, am I right in thinking that this
is going to mean having to re-authorise vray and max

    cheers
    steve

    Yes, you are right.

    Max shouldn't be a problem.
When I got a new system I could use the same code for my VRay license.

My opinion is that vray 1.5 that work only with dongle key doesn't need a new auth

If you are using 1.5 and have the dongle you wont need to re-auth.

If you are running RC3 or earlier then you will need to re-auth

cheers everyone, I think I'll wait until the dongle arrives then, make
          things a bit easier.

I would still recommend calling your reseller and finding out the ETA.

Hi Daforce, good idea, I got an email from Trinity3D a couple of days
ago about the dongle, just to confirm my address etc, I suppose if
it's going to take a while for it to arrive I might as well go ahead and
              do the upgrade anyway.

I'm off work from monday so I was planning on doing the upgrade
              during my week off.
