  • vray phys cam distortion

I have never used the vray phys cam before so please bear with me. I have the render output size set to 720x480. What i get is a distorted image. The image is squashed slightly from what it should be, as if it were altering the picture to fit the 720x480 setting. Any idea on what i am doing wrong?
    thanks.

Any chance of posting up an example and a screenshot of your physical camera settings? It'll save a few hours of random guesses.

Just to confirm it's not a render setting, have you tried rendering the same view from a normal max camera, and confirmed it is the physcam that is doing it?

it could be a lot of things, I still dont know exactly what you mean either.
use http://xs.to/ if you need an image host, it tells you the rest. An example of what you'd expect it to look like would be a great help too.

Max redner window and varay frame buffre have to have the same output image size

            see if that helps

Looks like your pixel aspect is set to .9 which is correct for a 720x480(486) image. It's right next to the image aspect spinner where you specify the resolution. Set it to 1 if you want unsquashed images but be aware that it then won't look right viewed on a tv.
