  • vray proxies, asset tracking

I've merged a whole bunch of vrayproxies from one computer to another. I see all the nodes, but they can't find the actual mesh files which are still on the other computer.

I don't see the proxies in my asset editor, is there a way to designate a folder in my new scene? How do i solve this issue?

Put every .vrmesh file into the same folder as the max file.

Make sure you're running 1.5 Final. Vray proxies show up correctly in the assest racker now and ca be reassigned using "set path".

I somehow got the proxies to work. I copied the max file to the computer on which i'm rendering, and i've copied all the proxies to the same dir. Then i found all the meshes in the asset tracker and stripped them of their path. I think that they were not showing as UNC (they were mapped onto E: of another computer).

After i''ve stripped them of their path, i guess max found them in the same folder as the .max file. But now, i have a problem with the textures. I'm xrefing a scene which has the vmesh people arrayed, into a theater scene. The proxies render, but most of them are missing textures.
