ITs Max 9, windows XP 64 bit. I reinstalled the older version of 1.5 and am able to connect back to the softare licens but my ALL my meus/icons in Max are still missing. The tab is still there but all the icons on the tabs are missing.

    you will just have to reset your max UI and for the wibu key you should download the latest 64bit drivers from wibu

          You can also try to delete the < 3dsmax.ini > file from the root.
          It will reboot all your settings.

            I will try that. Resetting the UI didnt do anything. The Menus/Buttons are still there, they just show up as blank buttons though. I can hold the mouse over the blank button and the pop up helper will show up and say that its the move command, or rotate button or whatever, but thats the onlt way I can tell what is there becasue they are blank. No icons on the button.

                I don't have a chance to try and find it right now, but when a co-worker was reporting similar issues I went searching and on one of the autodesk forums somewhere, it was mentioned that making sure that your system PATH environment variable started with the following:
                %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\Sy stem32\Wbem;

                Not sure why that would be an issue, but whoever posted the tip claimed that it fixed max9 UI issues for them and suggested double checking that when similar UI issues arise...

                  As a note, it's NOT a wibu-key issue at all.
                  It's a known max9 issue.

                  go to customize->revert to startup layout
                  Should that fail, try customize->load custom UI scheme... browse to your 3dsmax9\UI folder, load defaultUI.ui

                  Should that fail, open the listener, and type "colorman.reInitIcons()" without the quotes.
                  press the keypad enter, and wait until it refreshes the icons.

                    Thanks for your help everyone. I did end up fixing it last night. I saved a costum UI setting from another MAX 9 install and loaded that one. I didnt save it, just loaded it, restarted MAX and everything was back to normal.
