  • Cannot cancel VRayFur light cache calculation

    When light cache is being calculated for VRayFur, it takes an awful lot of time even just for testing. I have a big area to cover (about 1300x500 units) and I have "Per area" set to "0.1". After about 5+ minutes the light cache progress bar didn't even move a notch, so I cancel it. At this point the progress dialog closes, but it still takes about 20-30 or so minutes until it stops calculations in the background.

    Usually, when I hit cancel, all calculations stop in a relatively short amount of time, but with VRayFur that's not seem to be the case.

    The area is an irregular spline shape, having an EditPoly applied on top of it.

    You can try to subdivide the fur base objects into smaller triangles, it may make VRayFur more responsive; I'll make a note to try and improve this.
